We collect information to give you the ability to read subtitles. This means that we collect both personal information and “other” information.

    1. How we use your personal information

    We use your data to manage our business, market and improve our platform, develop new services and give you a more personal experience when you interact with us. We also use your information to communicate with you.

    We use your information for the following:

    1. Information you provide to us: When you create an account with us, we register account details; For example Name, Email Address, Password, Country, Location. We may also register your location.
    2. Information we automatically collect when you use SubReader: When you use SubReader, we register a number of information automatically, including personal information and information about how you use the service. This information is necessary for us to ensure the best communication between you as a user and us as a company.
    3. When you participate in surveys, contests or giveaways, we collect contact information, demographics and eligibility information. We may sponsor contests, giveaways or other offers where we may require you to provide us with your personal data such as; name, email address, telephone number and age, as well as other information that may be relevant to your participation.
    4. When you “connect” with us on social media, we may collect your account or profile information. You can choose to log in, or sign up for the service with Facebook or other social networking services. When you link your social media account, we collect personal data that you have given access to on your social profile. For example, when you log in with your Facebook login information, you give permission for us to collect personal data from your Facebook profile, which is subject to Facebook's terms and conditions, such as your email address. If you do not wish to provide us with this information, you will need to change your settings on your social network profile.
    5. When you interact with our services, we collect information about your usage behavior on the platform. We automatically collect log data and device information. We use cookies and other similar technologies. SubReader collects information related to your payments through the SubReader platform. This information is necessary to maintain the contract between you and SubReader.

    1.1. Where is your personal data stored

    SubReader uses a number of different third-party service providers to help us offer services related to the SubReader platform. These service providers may be located within or outside the European Economic Area (“EEA”). Any transfer of your personal data will be done in accordance with the relevant laws.

    These service providers will only have limited access to your data, in order to perform tasks on our behalf and are contracted and bound to protect and use the data only for the agreed purpose, and which complies with these conditions. We have previously taken the necessary steps to share your data with third parties to ensure an appropriate level of data protection. This could be based on the EU model clauses. (a series of clauses issued by the European Commission).

    1.2. How long is your personal data stored

    SubReader stores your data as long as you have an account with us, or need to use our services. We also retain and use your data as necessary to comply with our legal guidelines and resolve disputes.

    1.3. Who is responsible for your personal data

    SubReader ApS is the data processor for the data you send to us, and is responsible for the data.

    1.4. Who has access to your personal data

    Your data may be shared in SubReader ApS, and its subsidiaries / affiliates, which are related to normal ownership or control. We never send, sell or exchange your data for marketing initiatives to third parties outside the SubReader ApS group. Data transmitted to third parties is used exclusively to provide the above services, for example media services and agencies for distribution of newsletters, credit references or for the purpose of making a credit assessment, identity check and debt collection.

    1.5. How do we protect your data

    We have used technical and organizational processes to protect your data from being lost, tampered with or accessed unauthorized. We continue to incorporate initiatives that follow technological developments. To make payment with us as easy as possible, we use encrypted forms. This means that your information is sent through a secure connection and that external partners cannot access your personal data. When paying by card, we work with payment acquirers who help us check directly with your bank that your card has been validated for purchase. Our payment redeemers process your card information in accordance with the international security standard PCI DSS, which has been developed by the payment card companies VISA, MasterCard, Diners, American Express and JCB. This means that your payment card is treated with a very high level of security. When you pay by card, we reserve the right to perform an identity check.

    1.6. Requestion deletion of data
